On this page we will spotlight successful alumni. Each month a new alumni member of Upward Bound will be spotlighted!

 

Janae Perkins

Janae is a truly spectacular alumni of the Upward Bound Program. Janae graduate in 2009 from Brockton High School. She was one of two participants in the Summer Program in her Bridge Year. Upon completion of her Bridge Summer in 2009 she headed to St. John's University in New York. There she was a leader on campus as an RA and she participated in several organizations. She returned to Upward Bound in the summer of 2011 when she became a TC for the program. She did the same in the summer of 2012. In 2013 she graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor's in Psycology. In the summer of 2013 she once again returned to the summer program, but this time as the Resident Director. 

 

Starting in the fall of 2013 Janae began pursuing her Master's Degree at Columbia University in New York in Psychology. She will once again return this summer as our RD and we are so thrilled to have her back. To say we are proud of Janae's accomplishments would be an understatement. She has taken on the challenge of pursuing the highest level of higher education, and we are so excited to see where she goes! Congratulations Janae!
